M-Pesa is a mobile money service. It enables any Vodacom subscriber who registers for the service to send and receive money, top-up airtime and make bill payments (Electricity, Water, DSTV, etc...) from their mobile device. Subscribers can register for the service by dialling *111#.They can also deposit and withdraw from any of our +4000 agents across the country and make direct merchant payments at participating retailers.

Vodacom M-Pesa Merchant Facility is a function that enables customers to pay for goods and services using a Mobile phone.

The transaction is performed on any mobile phone at the comfort of the payer and the merchant receives payments electronically.

• The business submits required documents.
• VCL will create an e-money account for the business where all e-money payments from customers are credited into.
• The business is FREELY issued with a phone to be able to view transactions, balance and mini statements.
• The business also has access to Web Channels provided by Vodacom, to allow free access to the merchant account and statements.
• The business can withdraw funds out of their M-Pesa account by :
  • Withdrawing at an M-Pesa agent including  Vodacom shops with no limit restriction

• • Withdraw through the use of web Channels provided by Vodacom at your own convenience.
  • There is no fee charged for Merchant to Merchant transactions.
