VCL Financial Services (VCL FS) hereby notifies all customers that M-Pesa has partnered with the Lesotho Revenue Authority (LRA) to facilitate the disbursement of employee tax (PAYE) refunds that are M5000 or below. This move comes as a milestone for both VCLFS & LRA as it is a more effective and cost efficient manner for all stakeholders. In future, customers should also be able to pay their taxes through M-Pesa.

Requirements

M-Pesa customers will receive their employee tax refunds into their account provided

1. Personal details are updated per Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. These are;
   1. First Name & Surname
   2. National Identity Number

To update KYC details, dial *200# then press 0.

1. The refund amount is M5000 and below.

How do I register for this service?

Note, registration and opt in for this service are not required. As such, all clients with M-Pesa Accounts will automatically receive their refunds deposited into the M-Pesa Accounts, through the M-Pesa Business to Consumer (B2C) facility known as the M-Pesa Bulk Pay service.

When will this take effect?

This service will be effective as of 25^TH March 2022 for all M-Pesa customers, provided their KYC details are up to date and the same information reflects with LRA’s records.
